PHILANTROPY & VOLUNTEERING
Growing up as the first generation in my family in this country, I was taught to work hard and do the right thing, but recognize that only gets you so far.
My life has been supported by so many people around me and that is why I am where I am today. I believe that when you get to that kind of place it is your responsibility to do the same for others!

VOLUNTEERING
Athletics: I served as team captain for every track team from middle school to college and volunteered as a hurdles coach for three years post-college (with a USATF coaching certification). Holding various records at my high school and college for nearly two decades, I found it important to share the knowledge I’ve learned over my time as an athlete – the good the bad and the ugly… Especially in an event (hurdles) where proper coaching is often underserved.
Academics: Over the years I’ve volunteered in several student mentor positions and during my time at Wabash directed a tutoring program for local elementary and middle school children (including organizing transportation, tutors, meals and field trips).
Since graduating in 2010, I have remained an advocate for my alma mater Wabash College who’s mission statement is to “educate men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live humanely” and have frequently returned to share my insights and experiences.
I believe in setting an example for the transformative power of education and mentorship and have returned to speak at scholarship weekends and represented Wabash at high school fairs.
I spent 9 years serving on the National Association of Wabash Men (NAWM), Wabash College’s alumni board leading the academics and life planning committee and co-chairing additional committees.
